Join in faith and fellowship with leaders from across Iowa.
The Iowa Prayer Breakfast is a Maundy Thursday celebration that brings together people from all walks of life to mark the beginning of the Easter weekend. The event features Scripture readings, performances by local vocalists and musicians, an inspiring message from a keynote speaker, and prayers for the state.
Attendees enjoy a hearty breakfast and the company of friends and colleagues. Doors open at 6:45am and the event starts at 7:15am.

2027 Keynote:
Jonathan Evans
Jonathan Evans, a mentor, author, speaker and former NFL fullback treasures his relationship with Christ along with the opportunity to use his life to glorify God. Jonathan seeks to impact today's athletes, men and young adults by equipping and encouraging them in their faith. Jonathan serves as lead pastor at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas TX. Jonathan is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a masters degree in Christian Leadership. He also serves as the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys and co-chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks. Jonathan is a dynamic speaker at churches, conferences, men's events, banquets, youth, and FCA events. He is committed to developing the next generation of devoted Christian leaders. Jonathan and his wife Kanika are the proud parents of Kelsey, Jonathan II, Kamden, Kylar, and Jade Wynter. They reside in Dallas, Texas.

The 2027 Iowa Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2027 from 7:15 – 9:00am.

In order to accommodate the large crowd, the venue was changed in 2013 to the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center, formerly known as Veterans Auditorium. The breakfast is held in the ballroom.

Tickets for the Iowa Prayer Breakfast are $40 for adults and $20 for college students and younger.

The breakfast is open to the public.
Friends, co-workers, book clubs, pastors and staff, the business community, students, teachers, the Governor, heads of state, legislators, U.S. Senators, and U.S. Congressman have supported this event.

Small business owners, corporations, churches, and private citizens fund the Iowa Prayer Breakfast, which operates as a 501(c)(3) corporation (approval received November 20, 2003) through tax-deductible donations.

The Prayer Breakfast Committee is composed of volunteers from the legislature and business arena who meet each year to organize, raise money, secure an excellent speaker, and promote the Iowa Prayer Breakfast.
