Our Mission:

The Iowa Prayer Breakfast exists to glorify Jesus Christ through the public affirmation of His sovereignty over our State and our Nation. In obedience to II Chronicles 7:14, we pray for God’s intervention in the affairs of our State and His favor and blessing on our leaders.

Our History:

For 64 years, The Iowa Prayer Breakfast has hosted Iowa’s Governor along with hundreds of legislators, business, and community leaders. This annual gathering unites Iowa’s Christian Community in prayer for our State and its leadership. Attendees leave inspired by the words of a nationally acclaimed speaker and new connections that span racial, generational, and denominational lines.

Taking place at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Des Moines, we will gather for a hearty breakfast and fellowship, worship together with live music, and receive an encouraging message from our speaker Dr. Erwin Lutzer.
